Why do you get away? So that you can come back and see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. Our Dsynit team was running on a very bustling schedule and we were feeling lack of energy. Now it’s the time to refill our bodies, experiencing a wonderful chilled feeling giving us a quality time. We never hesitate to give more commitment to physical activity and recognize how it influences our day-to-day life. Hence, we planned to pack up our bags and start touring in the hill country.
A good traveler has no fixed plans. Dsynit team is born to accept challenges; our trip journey was with minimum facilities which handed us to end up with having a conditioned thought process.
We started crossing the highland railway line of vivid scenery that winds past the city of Nanu Oya. We make new friends wherever we go, this time some nice local groups as well as a friendly Holland team mingled with us all through the train journey.
We reached Nuwara Eliya in the late afternoon and spent some time at the guest house, planning the next two days of our voyage. It allowed us to let go the daily pressures and enjoy the peace and relaxation while awakening team spirit.
The very next day which was the kickoff of our trip, the team split into three sets and proceeded to oversee the tasks, finding a well-appointed taxi, finding cooked food for dinner and grocery shopping for next two days. As cricket maniacs, we under no circumstances could miss the Sri Lanka vs South Africa match where Kumara Sangakkara made us feel over the moon with his innings. The night was exceptional;singing and the story sharing session was meaningful since we could become acquainted with each other very well.
On the second day, we woke to the crack of dawn to ramble our expedition, shivering with the icy temperature of 9-10 °C. Rains and heavy winds never could be an obstacle to continue our stirring journey to Horton plains. Even though some of our colleagues felt infected due to weather changes and junk food, we didn’t stop there, but continuing roaming around beautiful Nuwara Eliya, from Bakers Falls, Worlds End, Little Worlds-end to Gregory Lake.
The time is up and time to go back with some lovely memories for years to remember. It was an amazing expedition where we could redress the balance and enjoy the factor “feel-good”.
